Local Business Amplicon become our first ever corporate room sponsors

We are delighted to announce that Amplicon has become the first local business to sponsor a room for a vulnerable young person in one of our 24 hour supported accommodation projects in Brighton.

Crawley LGBTQU+ Haven Celebrates Pride Month with a funding injection from Crawley Borough Council

The LGBTQU+ Haven in Crawley was launched in April 2021 and has now been up and running at YMCA YAC in Crawley for just under a year, offering local young people (aged 11-25) with access to weekly youth groups, as well as 1:1 support sessions, all facilitated by a dedicated team of LGBTQU+ Youth Workers and Volunteers.

Local translation companies support our work with unaccompanied asylum seeking children

YMCA DLG have seen an increase in unaccompanied asylum seeking children requiring our support within the last 12 months. Thanks to the support of two local translation companies, we were able to get vital documents translated into six different languages.

YMCA YAC Brighton have opened a Youth-Led sustainable social grocery store for anyone aged 16-25, living in the Brighton and Hove area.

Project workers at our Horsham Y Centre open a free clothes shop for residents

Project Worker, Lucy Fox, and Deputy Projects Manager, Mel Haynes, with the help of some of our young residents, created a corner in the Y Centre, where our residents can go clothes shopping for free.
