About the Position
Brighton & Hove
You must be aged 16-25
We are looking for enthusiastic young people, aged 16-25 years old, who want to make a difference to their peers, and use their voices to promote and support young people’s awareness and understanding of the issues around healthy/unhealthy relationships, and sex and consent.
YMCA WiSE is an award-winning project based in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, and Surrey, which works with children and young people around sexual exploitation and the surrounding issues. As a WiSE Ambassador you will be working with a small team of other young people to promote positive messages around relationships and sexual consent to children and young people in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex.
WiSE Ambassadors can work on a variety of projects, dependent on your skills and interests. This could, for example, include working on awareness posters, workshops, educational resources, social media content, creative projects, or campaigns.
We welcome young people from all backgrounds, and skillsets. You don’t need any specific skills or experience, just an interest and awareness of consent and relationships, and a passion for supporting positive change in the lives of children and young people.
This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people, receive training, develop your skills, and be part of an exciting new project supporting children and young people.
Meetings take place on Wednesday evenings between 5-7pm.
If you have any questions, or would just like to find out a bit more, please contact Catherine on 07884549199 or [email protected]
